For all men who suffer from poor or short-lived penile erections

I was happy to find out that the “hardware” checked out  OK (though “hardware” may be a slight misnomer in my case).  I also  got the bloodtest for testosterone levels (free and combined?), but  won’t know the results for several days.    I’m not sure if my intro message ever made it through, but I’m a 42  year old male who’s been married to the same woman for 18 years  now.  I started experiencing problems maintaining an erection during  intercourse a few years ago.  After several episodes of having the  flag flying at half-mast, I developed an anxiety about having sex,  which seems to have fed upon itself over time until now I’d rather  not even try. My “drive” seems to have decreased somewhat over the  past decade or so too, though the urologist I saw says that it’s a  fairly typical thing for men in their 40s.    I’m awaiting the results of the T test to see if I have anything to  worry about there.  Meanwhile, I also received a trail pack of  Viagra from the urologoist…will hopefully have the confidence to  put that to the test before long.

Have been impotent for some time and tried Viagra (l00 mg), but  cannot get good erection.  Have had heart operations which might  affect blood flow (which, of course,is basis of erections) and take  an aspirin every day which thins out the blood. Does anyone know if I  discontinue aspirin, perhaps the blood will not be thin and Viagra  might work. Have taken Viagra prior to viewing porn and tried  stimulating self while watching it, but wonder if self stimulation is  effective.  Have had someone perform oral sex in this situation and  achieved orgasim with a sense of some hardening of the penis before  ejaculation. Thus two questions:  Should I give up aspirin for some  days before taking Viagra and (2) is self stimulation enough to bring  about erection? Thanks, Capt. H

I asked my Dr. and he said that ED does cause some penis shrinkage.  The “normal” Male attains errections during the night to help keep it  at a good operating length.  Now that I only get an errection every  few days with Caverject most of the time it’s doing nothing.  A kind  of use it or lose it I guess.    It’s like a man who takes female hormones.  That causes the penis to  stay soft all the time causing shrinkage from inactivity.  I was  concerned because I have lost about 3/4 of an inch off mine.  My  partners might not realize it but I sure do.  A penis is a terrible  thing to waste!    Mac

I’ve been using the prescription drug, MUSE, and find it fairly effective…but, still must use cock ring to keep an erection. I have had major surgery for prostate cancer (several years ago) and as a result lost the ability to get an erection and keep it…as well as losing about an inch and a half in length (when erect)…Anyone else share those results? Or similar experiences? Also, curious about whther your insurance company covers pharmacy costs for MUSE?

I’ve just finished reading all the posts to this group and  thought I would share my experiences here.  I apologize in advance  for the lenght of this post.  I’m 44 y.o. married, 2 teenage sons and have been fighting a losing  battle with impotence for nearly 3 years. It started slowly with a  few instances of failure to keep it hard enough to get to ejaculation  and has become progressively worse.    I had a penile doppler and found I have a  veinous leakage that will not allow blood to remain trapped in the  penis as needed for a good errection. At the suggestion of my  urologist I began to use various cock rings to hold the errection.  This worked well for about a year then they were not enough alone to  keep it up. Later I started Viagra at a 25mg dose with great success  and didn’t even need the cock rings for a while.  Later the effective  dose climbed to 50 mg then 100 mg but required the cock rings to stay  hard. Now Viagra helps very little at all and I have horrendous  headaches from the 100 mg dose all the next day. I have now  moved to using the Tri-Mix injection (contains Caverject compound but  adds 2 other chemicals which enhance effectiveness and staying  power).  It worked great at the doctor’s (hard errection and 2  ejaculations 10 min. apart; something I rarely achieved even when I  was 20) while reading a porn magazine. But when I use the injection  at home I get little or nothing with hand stimulation from my wife  and she is unwilling to give oral.    Here I must state also that I am  bisexual but have never touched a man before.  I am very much turned  on by gay porn and in frustration one night after trying to get it up  with the injection went downstairs and fired up the PC to view porn.  My cock got hard almost instantly and stayed that way until I  masturbated to relive the tension. Have any  of you using injections found you also need a new form of stimulation  to get it up?

I used to have erection difficulties 2 years old. Maybe due to  many factors like work problems,smoking and ocassinal drinking  and  other stress in many other areas. I’m a 22 years old guy and having a problem of early discharge, to be
specific I don’t have a problem getting an erection and I can’t hold
it back and it gets discharge within a minute. I’m very much
depressed about it.

I am in my mid-30′s and spent two years on beta blockers and Ca++ Channel blockers for cardiac arrhythmia. They ruined my sex life and have deminished the quality of my marriage. I have been off cardiac drugs for a year now. Still have the ED and very little libido. Am now on Testosterone (T) replacement. Currently having estrogen/estradiol levels checked. Lately, my blood pressure is out of control. Never was bad before, but perhaps my body grew accustomed to being on antihypertensive drugs even though they were used to treat arrhythmia in my case. I think my doc is going to put me on meds to control Blood Pressure. Any suggestions of brand names of BP meds that are sexually friendly? Any in your experiences that have less of an effect on erectile ability and/or libido. Thanks.

Hey Guy & Girls,    My Uro told me during my regular check up that there is a new  treatment for impotence due to come out next year.  It is a cream  that is rubbed on the skin of the penis and asorbed into the corpus  cavernosum without the need for injection.    She said it should create the same affect as Caverject.  It’s in FDA  testing now.    Mac
